- Place a depth ring on your cutting shell at 6 7/8 in. (17 cm).
- Set the Cup Auger collar at the regulation depth of 7 in. (18 cm).
- Cut a new hole to the depth of the ring.
- Use the Cup Auger to perfectly finish the hole.
- When your cup is set, it will rest exactly at the required depth.
